I'm sure most of you have seen this trailer by now, but I wanted to post it in case you hadn't. I am also hoping to hear what you all think of it. Having seen the film already, I have some thoughts about what they are showing and what they aren't, but I don't want to go spoiler-tastic here. Just wondering how it looks from a different perspective... What do you think?

Yo that shit is ILL, son. Having not seen the film my first two thoughts are:
1. His deep six into that accent is so awesome! Deep voices, American authority!
2. Is the fix in the final fight going to be that there is no fix? Everyone is just going to love each other? I hope so.
I'm getting the feeling that this will be my favorite movie of this year. That's how much I like this trailer.
"It's still real to me, dammit!"
...and by that, I mean it looks awesome and I can't wait to see it.

Having seen this film when you did at NYFF, I have very little I can say without ruining anything about it. Here's what I can say:
The trailer makes this downbeat film look cheerfully upbeat and inspiring. Nonetheless, the film is every bit as fantastic as the previous commenters think it is.
I definitely recommend it, and check out my review at my site if you're curiosity demands more info.
First trailer I can think of in a long time that made me cry...seeing Mickey Rourke finally getting treated with the respect and admiration he has deserved for so long makes me want to go out in the street and start yelling "I told you so!"
I can't wait to see this film...
When he's like "I just don't want you to hate me" - wow. I've seen the trailer a couple of times and that moment always gets me.
