I don't know how overlooked this is, considering it's been included in Warner's highly popular series of noir box sets, but it's a great film. The collision of sex and violence in American cinema -- a girl and a gun -- was never more obvious or psychologically transparent. Godard must've loved this one.
You should write at least a little bit about these films when you post them. Hard to get too excited or generate much interest and discussion over just a DVD cover.
Thanks for the feedback, Ed. I never know how well everything works without some comments, so I very much appreciate them. I'll start writing something about the films to create a bit more discussion.
As far as the "Gun Crazy" selection goes, it seems to me that it may be a classic noir, but I don't know a lot of people who have seen it. Maybe I am way wrong about that, but amongst my MA program and load of Netflix friends, no one had seen it so I thought it warranted a selection. I was thinking overlooked in one specific sense for this selection, I guess.
